Sthalam 8, I am back!

My last trip to Mysore was in 2010. My plan was to go here and do the teacher training course for two month. The first month A Jay study you and let you know if you are ready for the teacher training course for the second month. In my mind I thought I was gona be alot alone, well meet friends in the shala but stay alone and just focus on learning and reading books. When I arrived to Mysore I met Anna from sweden at breakfast the fist morning and we chatted for a bit and she decided to stay in Mysore with me and study yoga in the same shala for a month. Anna and I got an apartment and I had someone to share the first month with. When we dident study, we had free time to explore Mysore and discover what this place had to offer. Carzy how eazy and great it always ends up, happy I met her that morning.

After the month with Anna I moves to the place where I will be staying this time to. I stayed in a big house with four beautiful ladys. It was Deorathy from Paris, that I did my teacher training course with. Dilza from Venezuela who made South American food like a goddess, and she was my Salsa teacher to, Julie from Russia and Boshana from Poland. We had a huge kitchen and cooked offen togheter and shared our stories in life, over food and sometimes whine. It was a really great time in my life that I will never forget.

Wherever you are its the people surroundings you that makes your day. Its hard to find people here thats negative or makes your day hard in some way. But I miss my roomis from last year, I know I will find new ones thou. The fist night I had here, there was a dinner party in the house I stay in now. Two girls finish their teacher training and selebrated. They all seams very nice and I dont douth that this time will be as good as last year in Mysore.

Only have one thig to add on the negative list here in India, but I laught about it thou. I gues its a part of the colture. Had a Indian guy who came and sat next to me at the internet cafe. He was checking out my computer and saw my name on my facebook. He repeated my name laod many times and asked if I was married, YES I said, he told me to seach for his profile. I egnored him and feelt bad
but I tryed to be clear. He said please again and took my computer and added him on my facebook. Well well no harm done, to have him on my facebook I thought, can always just delete him.
The next day when I checked my inbox I got this; "he hanna i want to fuck 1 girl wat to do will u plz help me plz plz"

It happend last time here to but at the supermarket, it feels like its not strage for them at all to ask. Just whats your name and you wanne have sex, straight forward. Well I should be happy someone whats to, he he! I also remember a guy who me and Anna met while walking up Shamondhi hill, next day he looked up where we stayed and dident leave our apartment until we had dinner with him. After a while egnoring him he left. But I feel safe here anyway, I think its a colture thing that
is hard to understand. I know they think we Western girl are "Eazy" so I keep covering my shoulders and knees as much as possible!

Everything els is just perfect. Did my first class on friday when I arrived. Feelt great and A Jay talked to me after. We discussed what I need to fix and that he would get me started more on the second seri. I got so happy, after the class, walking home I feelt even more exited then before, how now that is possible. I did a bit on it last year but not much. I like the poses in second, apperently the secend is good for the nerv system and it has alot of back bending, love it. We did discusse that
I need to fix my balance of strenght on each side to be more equal. Aperntly I have one side lots more stronger then the other one. It might be wierd if I dident coz of my Muaythai but everything in balance is better, so I have to work more on that!

I will oploads more pictures soon, feel like I got so much on my mind I need to share with you! Thanks for reading guys!

Arrived in Mysore!

The flight over whent smooth. I dident lose my passport or anything, amazing! A quick stop in Dubai then over to Bangladore where I had a taxi waiting for me, that would take me to Mysore. A bumpy taxi ride for 4 hours. People always tells me I should stay over in Bangladore and check out the city, but I never do. I am always to eger to arrive and get satteled in where I know I will be staying.
I been in India before, for 2 month but I can not say I have seen India only Mysore. I should see more but I take it another time, although I really would love to go and see the Himalyas and Sir Lanka, everyone tells me its amazing! But traveling around and seeing things, it would be more fun if you did with some friends I think.

On the plain over I saw a movie, Forest! Its was a really sweet storry, about Angels! Its a good movie so watch it. It got me thinking about how some people around you are like angels for you. Some people just have Angel quality just like some have star quality, or teaching quality. Sometimes you have those angels arond you who makes you think twise. If you belive in them you keep your eyes open and lissen to everyone, then we become more open minded towards others!
Enought about Angels, or els they come and take me!

I am so exited going to the shala and getting started. A shala is the room where you pracitise your Yoga Asanas, yoga poses. Its a bit strage again, to come from a period where I been training really hard, running, sparring, kicking the bags and pads and now its time to go into the shala. I have so much energi. I feel like running and sparring, coz that where I feel confertible beeing. Not that Yoga is less hard, opposite, now I will be faceing a even harder concentraion training. Well I have my trainers and my Ipod so I can go for a runn with the crocodiles when I just need let everything go! Its like the running becomes more relaxing and meditating then the Yoga asanas, strage!

Time for some Masala Dosa!
Sorry my spelling sometimes, and I will put up more pic soon!

Why should I make myself happy?

This following text is written by my meditation teacher in Thailand!

The motivation of someone who meditates is playing a big role, in the results in his or her meditation-practice. If your meditation practice makes you happier - great! What if you also could make others around you happier? What if you would sit down precisely because this very wish moves you? "May everyone be happy! May nobody experience suffering anymore!" If this touches you, you are moved by the two most powerful human states of mind. I am talking about love and compassion. How can I actually make others happy? Simple - you need to be happy first! How can I free others from suffering? It's similar - free yourself from it first or at least be on a valid path to liberation from it! How do I free myself and others from suffering and create abundance and happiness all around me? By practicing meditation! What is meditation? Take another look at the definition and you see that there can only be 2 correct motivations for your practice. The first is Love, the second is Compassion and both go hand in hand!

Miss my meditation classes with Louise! I miss Toby! Beautiful people that I am blessed that I have met in my life, even thou I havent known them for long  or can say I really known them at all, they make me happy! I think  everyone should learn to Meditate a bit, get some knowledge. Maybe then we can reduce consuming so much pills and drugs and start smiling for real!!! More Love and Compasstion!

This is a photo from Thailand some weeks ago before Keiths fight! From left Sara, Louise, Keith, Warren Me and Andy! Awesome friends. A big Good luck to Keith who is fighting on the 28th this month, in Bangkok with Master Toddys team. I be cheering from India!

Packing and studing!

Packing and studing! I have to try and not get stuck on Facebook talking to my friends, but I get destracted eazy. I know I have to study my Asthanga yoga book to. A Jay will tell me off if I have forgotten to much, when to do what pose and the names, like; go to Prasarita Padottanasana C and I will look like a fool, and then " no exuise", no talk in the shala, next time you do better next time you remember, coz I should know them all by now. This blog will help me with that I thought, by teaching you guys I will learn aswell.

I like A Jays way of teaching, he knows what he can expect of me and if I can do better he tells me and I wont get away with beeing unfocused . I know he will make me reach the stage in yoga that he belives I am capable of. He is not hard on everyone all the time, he knows when to expect less from some people, he reads people very well. Just like my Master in Muaythai Master Toddy, everyday he whants me to do my best, and thats how you and your teacher will reach goals together!

I thought I would give you guys BKS Ayengars video: He is explaining the asanas (poses), why they are good for you, while doing them. He is really cool and this is to all you guys who thinks ur to old, I know he´s been doing it for a while but its never to late. Look at all of the episods, this is the 3/6 ! He explains very well!

For who of you that intressted in what kind of Yoga I study Its Asthanga yoga, we do almost the same poses as Ayenga on the video but with a flow, a vinyasa flow, like in the David Swensson video I posted last time.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a method of yoga that synchronises the breath with a series of postures, producing an intense internal heat and purifying perspiration that detoxifies the muscles and internal organs resulting in improved circulation, a light and strong body, physical stamina, strength, flexibility and a calm and focussed mind! /Asthanga Galle
